Special Quick
Start Evangelistic Training Program
A predominance
Objective of the Quick Start Evangelistic Training Program is to
energize the evangelism efforts of the Church by liberating,
equipping and empowering it’s members to share their Faith
naturally, relationally, with confidence and assurance necessary to
develop the reliance and trust with their potential converts. This
an evangelism training course specifically designed for the
non-evangelist
Two versions of
this program are available
1. Standard program
designed for small to medium sized church with Elders & Deacons.
2. Modified program
designed for small to medium sized church currently without Elders &
Deacons, which provides a suggested method for requesting member to
volunteer for various functions and a optional system of management.
A Pressing Need
for Evangelistic Training exists within the Brotherhood Today
Extensive research
of personal evangelism indicates that:
-
The average Church
of Christ depends on ten percent or less of their congregations,
who has been blessed with the gift of evangelism or are truly
equipped to teach a new convert, using only their Bible, to grow
the Church. Regardless of the efforts of the Minister to call on
the membership to become active in the Great Commission, there
appears to be an almost universal resistance to act by
approximately ninety percent of the flock.
-
Many Church
Leaders overestimate the ability of their members to effectively
communicate the basics of their Faith. This may be due, in part
that they may be among the ten percent who have been blessed with
the gift of evangelism.
-
Formal training in
the basics and techniques of presenting the Truth is NOT being
addressed in the vast majority of congregations.
-
The lack of formal
training usually results in UNSPOKEN FEARS AND DOUBTS, such as:
1. Fear of
Rejection
2. Fear of the
Unknown
3. Fear of
failure
4. Fear that
their lack of knowledge will be bought to light or what Orientals
call “losing face”
5. Uncertainty of
exactly what information to impart and the Scriptures to use in
support of their contentions
6. Doubts
regarding their presentation skills
The primacy
objective is to equip every believer in the church so that he or she
will be able to personally get involved in carrying out a simple
evangelistic strategy, by providing:
Simple,
straightforward materials for presenting the Gospel and the Briefs
of the Church of Christ. Which accurately convey:
1. Plan of
Salvation or Simple steps required to be saved from the fires of
Hell
2. Overviews of
our Briefs, which prove that the Church of Christ conforms exactly
to His commands and the directions of the apostles.
3. The Biblical
warnings regarding the ultimate eternal reward that awaits all
non-believers and those who fail to worship in spirit and truth.
1. Choice is
provided by providing multiple approaches
1. Knowledge
endow one with authority, inspiration and enthusiasm

and booklets, personalized with the name, address, telephone number,

Outreach
tri-fold brochures
Were designed to
inform and create interest in His Church. The tri-fold format was
selected for materials intended for mass distribution, such as
hand-outs at public places (local market, shopping center or post
office) or in literature racks, placed in high traffic locations,
such as hotels, motels, hospital, medical or dental office and
funeral homes.
It is suggested
that: 1) each brochure be produced on a different pastel colored 24
pound Xerox (brand) paper, which is available from most office
suppliers or one of the fine papers from Ampad, which is available
from Wal-Mart. 2) The literature rack materials be changed every
three months

For training in
advanced soul-winning methods and techniques, please consider one or
both of the following professionally developed hands-on seminars,
which do not contain theoretical generalizations, materials that
written on an advanced level or the need for memorization.
Leading Others to Christ Seminar
Briefly, the seminar
includes suggestions for the effective use of the resources provided
in this website, as well as, additional methods and procedures not
covered in this website, including, but not limited to, instructions
on conducting an effective professional presentation, methods of
maintaining control, a successful technique of convincing
individuals the that one cannot be saved by reciting the “sinner’s”
prayer or the prayer of salvation, as well as other techniques of
leading current and past denominational members to Christ and an
expanded hands on “learn by doing” applications of the Art of Gentle
Persuasion (additional closing methods) and more. The final section
covers the basic introductory elements of a successful Team
Evangelism program.
Seeking the Lost
Seminar
Much of the research
and development of soul winning materials we have completed, which
require the efforts of more than one individual, are not discussed
within this website, simply because such methods require the
approval and direction of the Eldership of the each individual
congregation. Most authorities agree that the team approach is the
most effective overall method of evangelism. Using this approach
every Member can be actively involved in some manner. A much larger
percentage of Members will usually be interested be becoming
involved with the support of a group.
In addition, certain
limitations exist in properly and clearly presenting more complex
methods and techniques, via the Internet. The Seeking the Lost
Seminar is devoted to providing comprehensive information regarding
the procedures, methods and application of TEAM EVANGELISM concepts
subject, of course to the approval of the Eldership. The final
section provides a summary of advanced soul-winning techniques.
For information,
regarding these seminars, please contact us via e-mail at
seminars@seekingthelost.org
These seminars were
developed using the same hands on, down to earth techniques that
were employed in the development of Leading Others to Christ and
related resources. The materials have been written in manner that
the average Member can easily understand and employ.
A
combination of the Leading Others to Christ Seminar and the Seeking
the Lost Seminar, which provides a inclusive educational program
which includes a distillation of the entire body of research,
completed by the author, on this significant subject is offered at a
substantially reduced fee.
Finally, we have
develop a plan to offer low-cost, nearly turnkey “no hassle”

members to the Church of Christ who wish to evangelize and seek the
Lost via the Internet.

The website
HisTrueChurch.org is devoted to reaching out to lost Souls, in large
part by, hosting “no hassle” carefree personalized static WebPages
for congregations of the Church of Christ and their members
worldwide.
We offer an
alterative to going it alone
The development of a
new web page is usually a major undertaking. The steps required,
included, but are not limited to; planning, preparing copy or
writing the text, designing the layout, conducting a search for the
limited number of web site provider that prohibits ALL adult content
or links to adult links, obtaining a domain name and arranging to
have your copy converted from MS Word to MS Front Page, and in some
cases obtaining additional software.
A domain name can
cost up to $19.95 per year, but usually can be located on the
Internet for less. The cost of maintaining a website generally
range from $7.00 to $12.00 per month. Be aware, these firms
advertise monthly fees, based upon an upfront payment for services
ranging from one to several years.
The overall cost of
building and maintaining an independent site would usually be
substantially more expensive than taking advantage of our exclusive
carefree service.
You can be assured
that our website is maintained in a clean environment. Our web site
provider is unique in as much as they prohibit ALL adult content or
links to adult links, no exception. Violations result in immediate
and final suspension, without refunds. This is the number one
reason we selected this provider.
Special
Introductory Offer
We are offering the
special annual maintenance fee of $217.00 per year, which is due, in
full, at time of order placement. The annual fee is locked. We
guarantee that there will never be an increase of annual base fees
for existing subscribers of standard static web pages. This
guarantee is effective upon the start of a subscription for as long
as you or your congregation remains an active client of our
service.
In addition, all
setup fees are waived during introductory period. There are no
hidden fees whatsoever. Additional cost may only be incurred is by
either requesting that changes be made to your web pages after
posting or by requesting services that are outside our standard
perimeters.

congregations, an example of a dignified web page, with a clear
message, as a base to start. You are free to edit and revise any
and all sections to meet your requirements.
If you wish, you may
delete an entire section or sections or just start over, provided
the end result, in part, is an effort to lead others to Christ or to
encourage Lost Souls to attend classes or worship services of your
congregation.
Please feel free to
use your word processor to cut and paste from any resource found in
“Seeking the Lost.org” or personalize by adding such information as;
background of your Minister, history of your congregation or special
attractions is your area etc.
We post the
materials you supply, so please check you spelling etc., as we do
not edit approved copy.
If you plan to
basically use the standard web page as presented, please note the
remarks printed in green. Simply fill in the information, as
requested, check you’re spelling etc., pick a theme or background
color, and take a sharp digital picture of the church building at
its best angle, place it at the top of the first page and you are
good to go.
7. We encourage the
use of themes or background colors, which are found in the “Format”,
pull down at the top of MS Word. The preferred themes, for best
readability are those with light colored backgrounds such as,
capsules, clear day, expedition, nature and sandstone.
Limitations
1. A maximum of
fifteen (15) printed 8.5”x11” pages, with your preferred theme or
background color, in the typestyle of your choice, with a minimum
font size of 12. [A printed version of sample web page is about ten
(10) 8.5”x11” pages.]
2. A maximum of one
digital photo, which to be placed at the top of first page – for
best results use only a picture with a sharp focus. We will edit
and size your photo as needed, as part of our regular service.
3. As we are
offering to host a static web page and in order to hold our fees
down, we do not offer the use of links within or without the web
pages. However, we will provide and maintain a link to
“Our Favorite Links”, if desired, which
is a link to an extensive list of informative, useful sources of
worthwhile information and addition resources, many of which are
hosted by member of the Church of Christ.
4. Any time after
the web page has posted a requested revision or correction will
incur an additional charge. Please edit your final copy carefully.
If you require revision(s) or correction(s), please contact us via
e-mail at
webpages@seekingthelost.org. In the event, an error or errors
occur as result of any action or event outside of your control we
will repair, as needed, at our expense.
5. As a protection
of our clients, no e-mail accounts are offered, as a group of
WebPages sponsored by Churches and Members are a very attractive
target of purveyors of so-called adult materials and other
undesirable or unacceptable messages. If e-mail accounts were to be
provided, you or a Member of your Church would be required to handle
the task of deleting those that slipped thru the blocking software.
In addition, our
website provider has very strict rules regarding mass e-mails. So,
one member could take the entire website and all of our subscriber’s
web pages down with a single prohibited mass e-mail distribution.
Free e-mail accounts are easily obtained from many sources of the
Internet. Our favorites are Yahoo and Juno. We understand this is
an inconvenience, but is a small price pay for clean and trouble

Overview of Our
Church Services
We understand that
many people want to know the nature of the services of a church
before they attend. We are happy to share the following overview of
the manner in which we worship, when we gather together.
The Bible is our
only Authority
We actively seek to
be governed in all that we do only by the Holy Bible, which is the
inspired Word of God. Sometimes we are asked: Does what we teach
really make much difference?
If it matters and it
does, we must be able to support our beliefs by the Word of God. We
would invite you to consider the principles upon which the Church is
based and the Holy Scriptures referenced.
2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is
given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Our Worship
Services are Simple and Devout
Our services are
patterned after the Church of the first century, which were very
simple. Our worship services include only those elements revealed in
the New Testament. We sing, pray, partake of the Lord’s supper,
preach the Word of God for the instruction of all and give of our
means, as we have purposed in our hearts for the spreading of the
gospel and the care of poor. Each part is designed to bring all
worshipers closer to God and to provide Spiritual Strength. In all
we do, we seek to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ.
James 4:8
Draw nigh to God,
and he will draw nigh to you.
God is a Spirit: and
they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23-24
But
the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship
the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to
worship him.
We wear the Name
of Christ
The religious world
of today is divided into almost countless denominations and sects,
using different traditions and names. Finding no scriptural
support, we use no denominational governmental organization, creed,
doctrine or name. We are known as Christians, just as believers
were known in the days of the Apostles, when there was only one
Church. Collectively, we are known as the Church of Christ.
Romans 16:16
Salute one another
with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.
Acts 11:26
And when he had
found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a
whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught
much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in
Antioch.
Leadership of
Worship
All the men leading
the worship service, except for our Minister, (Name of your
Minister, if desired), are volunteers who are members of the Church.
Forms of Worship
Prayer
Several prayers are
offered to God during each service. The man leading the prayer will
speak from his heart, rather than reading from a book or reciting a
series of memorized statements. Everyone usually quietly bows their
heads and closes their eyes while the prayer is being offered.
1 Timothy 2:1
I exhort therefore,
that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and
giving of thanks, be made for all men;
Music
The congregation
will sing several songs, led by one of our members during the
service. You are welcome to sing along. The song leader will
announce the number of the song. The words and music can be found
in the song book, in the rack in front of you.
Since we live and
worship under the New Covenant or Testament, members of the Church
of Christ sing without the aid of any type of instrumental music.
This was the pattern set by the early Church in the first century
and therefore is the pattern we follow.
In the Old Testament
they did, in fact, worship God with harps and other instruments.
However, in the New Testament there is no directive or mention of
using any type of musical instrument in the worship of God. Only
vocal music is mentioned in the Church of the New Testament, so we
use only our voices in this part of the service. This type of music
is called acappella.
Does it really
matter? It matters to those who wish to strictly obey and be
pleasing to God, rather than following the ideas and doctrines of
men. The Christian gives of himself, in worship, when he sings from
the heart and his spirit is lifted.
Ephesians 5:19
Speaking to
yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and
making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of
Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing
one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with
grace in your hearts to the Lord.
The Lord's
Supper
The Lord's Supper or
Communion is served every Sunday to all who wish to partake. Jesus
instituted His Supper for us to remember what he did for us on the
Cross. After offering a prayer, men will pass plates of unleavened
bread. All those who wish to partake will remove a small piece and
pass the plate to the person sitting next to them. Next, after
offering thanks to God, the men will pass trays of small cups of the
grape juice. Those who partake, remove one, drink it, return the
cup to the tray and pass it on.
Acts 20:7
And upon the first
day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread,
Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow
1 Corinthians
11:23-26
For I have received
of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord
Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when
he had given thanks, he brake it, and said,
Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in
remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the
cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is
the New Testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in
remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and
drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
Giving of Our
Means
Our regular members
give of their means and lay by in store, as God had prospered them,
every Sunday in order to support the various ministries of the
Church. Visitors are not expected to contribute, unless they wish
to. Immediately following the Lord's Supper, after a brief prayer,
plates are passed for the purpose of collecting the offerings.
1 Corinthians 16:2
Upon the first day
of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath
prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Every man according
as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of
necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
Message
Our preacher, (Full
name of your preacher, if desired) will deliver a lesson from the
Bible, which is usually 25-30 minutes in length. (First name,
informal or Mr., Dr. and last name, formal) messages are designed to
be informative, positive and encouraging. He does not use titles,
such as Reverend or Pastor, and prefers to be called (First name,
informal or Mr., Dr. and last name, formal).
Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of
the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto
all nations; and then shall the end come.
2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be
instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all
longsuffering and doctrine.
Invitation
At the conclusion of
his message, (First name, informal or Mr., Dr. and last name,
formal) will offer the wonderful invitation of Christ for the
salvation of anyone's soul, who truly believes that Jesus Christ is
the Son of God, who will freely confess His name before men, repents
of your past sins and is buried with Christ in baptism or to a
member of the Church who has sinned publicly, has repented and is
expressing a request for prayers on their behalf. While the
congregation stands and sings, an opportunity is provided for people
to come to the front pew and discuss their needs with (full or first
name of your preacher).
Mark 16:15-16
And
he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel
to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 4:23
But
the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship
the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to
worship him.
Simple Steps
Required By GOD to be saved from the Fires of Hell
Accept the wonderful
invitation of Christ for the salvation of your soul. Confess his
name before men, repent of your past sins and be buried with Christ
in baptism. At that moment you will have obeyed the Lord’s
commandments and God will add you to the Church and write your name
in the Book of Life.
The following
provides details regarding each required step.
Hear
the Word, by attending services of the Church of Christ
Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
John 5:24-25
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not
come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily,
verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the
dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear
shall live.
Truly Believe in
God and that Jesus is His Son
Mark
16:15-16
And
he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel
to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he that believeth not shall be damned.
John
3:36
He
that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God
abideth on him.
Sincerely Repent
of your past Sins
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God;
Acts 17:30
And the times of
this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where
to repent:
Luke
13:3
I
tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish.
Confess Jesus
before men
Luke 12:8
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess
me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the
angels of God:
1 John 4:15
Whosoever shall
confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in
God.
Matthew
10:32-33
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess
also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny
me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in
heaven
Be Baptized
Colossians 2:12
Buried with him in
baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the
operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto
them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of
the Holy Ghost.
Remain Faithful
until death
REVELATION 2
10
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil
shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye
shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I
will give thee a crown of life.

PERSONAL web page
All terms and
conditions that apply to the congregation web pages apply equally to
personal web pages. All we require is that, at a minimum, your
personal web page includes the plan of salvation in one form or
another. How you get to that point is up to you.
If you use the
following pattern we strongly suggested that you use an original
title or we end up with several with the same title. For example,
“Now is the Time to come Home” “Where will you spend forever?” Just
how long is forever?” We tried our way, now let’s do it His way”
“Darkness or Light, which will you Choose?” The title of or a phase
from a well-known hymn works well.
Another approach is
to recount your path to Christ or the story of others you have
guided to the Savior. People love rags to riches stories, so share
how following Jesus has improved your quality of life. Share
meaningful stories or poems that are intended cause an individual to
reevaluate his spiritual life.
Have some fun; try
different themes, backgrounds, typestyles and font size (minimum 12
points required for posting).
If you have any
problems or questions just e-mail
webpages@seekingthelost.org and we will be delighted to assist
with suggested solutions.
One of our favorite
approaches, which was developed in less than two hours is as
follows:
Give me that Old
Tyme Religion
This information is
provided freely to ALL in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ.
With or Without Jesus
Eternity is Forever
This is a worldwide
appeal to return to that pure Church of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ, who suffered and died a cruel death on the Cross so that we
might have the Hope of eternal life.
Now is the TIME to
throw off the bonds of the modern divided religious world and return
to the primitive New Testament Church described in the Bible, which
was established in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost in about A.D.
30.
His Church spread to
the four corners of the known world like wild fire and became a
threat to the mighty Roman Empire in only a few short years.
That primitive
Church that unfortunately has become so divergent, due to the
influence of Satan and false teaching, was the seed for the briefs
of over a hundred million God-fearing souls today. Our Lord, Jesus
Christ, warned that this would occur and that those who followed the
false teaching would be lost.
Let us reflect for a
moment on what the Church of Peter, Paul and John. Members were
simply called Christians. They assembled on Sunday, the first day
of the week, to worship by singing, offering prayers, partaking of
the Lord’s Supper, reading from the Holy Word (Old Testament), which
was hand written on scrolls, teaching each other and giving of their
means. At that time, unlike today, only one Church existed. There
were no church buildings, musical instruments, individuals dressed
in fancy apparel or women leading in any part of the services.
The Holy Word of God
which during the first century was hand copied on scrolls was
converted over the centuries to printed Bible, which is the sum
total of all spiritual knowledge that has ever been provided to
mankind.
Therefore, if an
individual is seeking to worship to spirit and in truth, he must use
the Bible as his only sure guide to Heaven and worship only in the
manners described.
John 4:23-24
But
the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship
the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to
worship him.
Now, let’s take a
moment and review the six simple steps to becoming a child of God
using only the Holy Bible as our guide.
The Gospel is
God’s power unto salvation to everyone who believes.
ROMANS 1:16
For I am not ashamed
of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation
to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the
Greek.
1 PETER 1:25
But the word of the
Lord endureth forever. And this is the word, which by the gospel is
preached unto you.
How to become a
child of God in Six Simple Steps
Step #1
Hear
the Word of God, by attending services of His One True Church
ROMANS 10:17
So then faith cometh
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
Step #2
Truly Believe in Jesus as the Son of God.
Mark 16:15-16
Go
ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He
that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth
not shall be damned.
Step #3
Repent of your sins.
Luke 13:3
I
tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish
Step #4
Confess Jesus before men.
Matthew 10:32-33
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess
also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny
me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in
heaven.
Step #5
Be Baptized in the Name of the Father, the Son
and the Holy Spirit for the remission of sins.
Acts 2:38
Repent, be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Step #6
Live a faithful life
until death.
In Revelation 2:10,
Jesus said “be thou faithful unto death, and I
will give thee a crown of life.”
The One True Church
All who are in
fellowship with Christ are members of His Body, the Church. The
Church is a Spiritual Body, with Jesus Christ as its head and the
faithful throughout the world as members of His Body. (Ephesians
1:22-23)
There is only one
true Church, the Church built by Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:18) In the
Biblical times there were churches established in Jerusalem,
Ephesus, Rome, Smyrna, and other places. These were not different
types of churches, as is so prevalent today, but congregations of
Christians in various locations.
Governing each
Church was a group of ordained Elders, who oversaw and tended to the
spiritual needs of it members. (Acts 14:23) The early church used
the congregational type of church government. The Elders ordained
at that location independently governed each church. Today,
following the pattern set by the churches of the first century,
wherever Christians join together to extend fellowship to each other
in worship, we find a congregation or local church.
His One True Church
still makes use of the congregational type church government.
Therefore, each church is independent and is bound to other Churches
of Christ only through Jesus Christ as the Head and a shared faith.
In keeping with our
effort to carefully follow the Bible, our worship consists only of
those activities authorized in the New Testament. On Sunday, the
first day of the week, we observe the Lord's Supper as a memorial of
our Savior's death on the cross. (Acts 20:7)
We praise God and
edify one another by singing, making melody in our hearts to God
(Ephesians 5:19) and by offering prayers of supplication and
thanksgiving. (1Timothy 2:1) Through sermons we exhort one another
to "continue steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine" (Acts 2:42) Only
on Sunday do we take up a collection, and this is so members can
give as they have purposed in their hearts. (2 Corinthians
9:7)
Throughout our
services, three principles govern all that we do:
Worship the Father
in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24)
All things are done
for edification (1 Corinthians 14:25) 3)
All things are done
decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40)
His One True Church
exists to give honor, glory and praise to God through Benevolence,
Evangelism, Edification, Spiritual Growth, Fellowship, Worship, and
Glorification of God. We accomplish this through study, prayer and
personal involvement, using only the Bible as our authority and
guide.
We wear the Name of Christ
We are simply known
as Christians, just as believers were known in the days of the
Apostles, at which time there was only one Church. (Acts 11:26)
Collectively, we are known as the Church of Christ. (Romans 16:16)
Finding no scriptural support for denominational names, practices,
creeds or formalities, none are used.
The Authority of
the Bible
We believe that the
Bible is the inspired Word of God. "All scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness:" (2 Timothy 3:16)
The Authority of
Christ
We cherish Jesus
Christ as Lord and have the highest regard for His authority. Jesus
said, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Matthew
28:18) Adding to, or subtracting from, the simple instructions of
Jesus is failing to respect Him as Lord. (Revelation 22:18)
Therefore, we have no conferences, synods, councils, earthly
headquarters or denominational governmental organizations, as Christ
did not authorize these. Such organizations, which have been
created by men, serve only to compete with the authority of Christ.
These groups bind human traditions and commandments upon others,
which was condemned by Jesus. (Matthew 15:9)
We Proclaim the
Gospel
We proclaim the
gospel message of the Christ crucified, who arose from the dead on
the third day. (Ephesians 4:11-12) We urge everyone to accept the
greatest gift of all, which is God's gift of everlasting life in His
Son. (John 3:16)
The Final Reward
If an individual
obeys the gospel of Christ and carefully follows His commandments,
to the letter until the moment of death, his or her (saved) soul
will move immediately move to paradise. If not, the (lost) soul
will be transported to Hades.
In Luke 16:24 Jesus
is described the rich man who had died and soul was suffering in the
fires of Hades pleaded to Abraham, "Then he
cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus
that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue;
for I am tormented in this flame". The rich man, Lazarus and
Jesus all walked the earth during the early part of the first
century. Imagine, this incident took place over two thousand years
old and the rich man suffers until this very day. Based upon the
Biblical account, the rich man will remain in Hades until Judgment
Day, at which time will be doomed to Hell forever. When he has
spent a trillion years, in Hell, he will have just begun. The
concept of forever is very difficult for most, if not all, to fully
understand.
On the other hand,
Lazarus, had lived in an acceptable manner, so when he died his soul
moved to paradise and was enjoying the company of Abraham, when the
rich man called out to them.
The Bible tells us
that a great gulf exists between Paradise and Hades, which cannot be
crossed, so it was not possible for Lazarus to come in contact with
the rich man. Lazarus has been in paradise now for over 2000 years,
looking forward Judgment Day, when he and all the saints will enter
their everlasting Heavenly Home.
Our Lord promises us
in John 14:2-3, "In My Father’s house are many
mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare
a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you
may be also".
Heaven is beyond our
wildest imaginings or dreams. The beauty, wonders, splendor,
majesty, grandeur, magnificence, brilliance and stately dignity of
Heaven simply cannot be adequately described in the language of
humans.
Love and the Light
of God will fill it and endless happiness, peace and joy will
abound.
Jesus promised in
Revelation 2:7 To him that overcometh will I
give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the
paradise of God.
The only way to
experience Heaven is to be among the souls that have been saved from
everlasting damnation.
Saved souls will not
have a remembrance of sorrows, pain, tears or the people they knew
during their lives on earth. Revelation 21:4
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be
no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain,
for the former things have passed away.”
The Bible indicates
that lost souls will have a remembrance of events and people they
knew during the trial period. The rich man clearly remembered his
brothers. On Judgment day, he can only face his eternal destiny of
everlasting punishment.
Revelation 20:10,
"The devil, who deceived them, was cast into
the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet
are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever".
Jesus warned that
Hell where all lost souls will cast is a ghastly and horrific place
beyond description. Hell simply cannot be fully portrayed in human
terms.
Mark 9:45-46
"cast into hell, into the fire that shall
never shall be quenched: where their worm does not die, and the fire
is not quenched"
Matthew 13:42,
"And will cast them into the furnace of fire.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth".
Revelation 14:11,
"And the smoke of their torment ascends
forever and ever, and they have no rest day or night."
Revelation 20:15,
"And anyone not found written in the Book of
Life was cast into the lake of fire"
It is imperative
that our name be found in the Book of Life.
Is your name in that
book?
Make
no mistake; you will not accidentally wind up in Heaven. Jesus
promised to prepare place for people who were willing to prepare
themselves for their place in Heaven.
The Most
Important Decision of your life
Which will You
Choose?
There are millions
of choices in this world, but in the HEREAFTER there will only be
TWO ALTERNATIVES.
Choice Number
One
Is to be among the
few who have submitted to His Will, labored in the Lord’s work and
earn their redemption. As we have stated clearly, Heaven is beyond
our wildest imaginings or dreams. The beauty, wonders, splendor,
majesty, grandeur, magnificence, brilliance and stately dignity of
Heaven simply cannot be adequately described in the language of
humans. Love and the Light of God will fill it and endless
happiness, peace and joy will abound. Jesus promised in Revelation
2:7 To him that overcometh will I give to eat
of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
The only way to experience Heaven is to be among the souls
that have been saved from everlasting damnation.
Choice Number
Two
To be in the much
larger group who failed to obey or did NOT worship in spirit and in
truth in accordance with the teachings of the Bible? Will YOU be
standing worst of humanity? The larger group will be punished in a
second death in a never ending eternal Hell. Will you remember this
commentary?
When you hear the
Jesus say, “Depart from me, ye cursed, into
everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:”
(Matthew 25:41), or “But the fearful, and
unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and
sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in
the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second
death.” (Revelation 21:8), or how will
you answer the question of Jesus “Ye serpents, ye generation of
vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” (Matthew
23:33)
Many people do not
even want to think about the concept of forever or everlasting.
This concept is difficult for many to comprehend. Some like to
think of forever as a circle or never ending. Others look at the
night sky and try to imagine where it begins and ends. It is the
opinion of many that the universe is like eternity or unending. The
fact is that God has always been and will always be.
Please take a few
minutes of quiet time and consider intensely the concepts of
eternity and continuous creaseless
retribution.
Life is too Short
and time without end or eternity is simply too long and the
everlasting punishment in the fires of Hell too terrifying to make
any mistakes.
Then make a choice,
before it is too late.
Once you pass away
from this Life you have lost the Golden opportunity to have the Hope
of Heaven. If you fail to accept God's Grace and Love, by becoming
His faithful servant, you have selected Hell
and to spend eternity as a angel of Satan, in everlasting Fire, by
default.
If you feel the
need to make some changes in your life,
WE PLEAD WITH
YOU to do so as soon as humanly possible.
NOW IS THE TIME TO
TAKE PERSONAL CONTROL OF YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE
MATTHEW 7
13

[is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which
go in thereat:
14
Because strait [is] the gate, and NARROW [IS] THE WAY, which leadeth
unto life, and FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT.
